On April 29th, the basic design of Boko Songho and Yanga Koubenza Copper, Lead and Zinc Polymetallic Mine Development Project in the Republic of Congo done by ENFI got approved.

Representatives of China National Gold Group Corporation and the Owner as well as experts from relevant domestic well-known companies and research institutes have listened to ENFI’s report on basic design and conducted detailed discussions on design content and depth. The experts reached the consensus that the construction scheme, main process technical scheme, equipment selection, construction scheme of public auxiliary discipline, and capital cost estimate from basic design are reasonable and feasible; that design principles adopted are correct with reasonable overall layout; that design content and depth meet the requirements of Regulations on Contents and Depth of Basic Design Report for Nonferrous Metals Industry Projects in China and National Instrument 43-101; and therefore, the basic design have been approved. Meanwhile, the experts put forward reasonable suggestions for basic design and project construction process, for improvements in ENFI’s detailed design.

Boko Songho and Yanga Koubenza Copper, Lead and Zinc Polymetallic Mine Development Project in the Republic of Congo is the first overseas nonferrous metal mine and smelting project of China National Gold Group Corporation, with ENFI responsible for the design of mineral processing, smelting process, TSF and relevant auxiliary facilities. The Owner has given highly appreciation on the basic design done by ENFI and expressed gratitude to ENFI’s active cooperation in project promotion.

The successful approval of the basic design review has positive significance of overseas copper hydrometallurgical business development and further expansion of ENFI’s influence on overseas nonferrous field.
